Diversity Edge Magazine’s Diversity
Champions
Diversity Edge Magazine strives to highlight the
advantages of having a diverse workforce and utilizing
diverse suppliers in Corporate America. In an ongoing effort
to recognize the achievements of individuals, Diversity Edge
Magazine includes articles focused on success stories about
people.
As part of this continuing effort, Diversity Edge Magazine
will present its second annual D.
E.
Diversity Champions list.
This annual feature highlights individuals that have
made a difference in furthering the cause of diversity.
Last year’s Diversity Champions featured chief diversity
officers, government leaders, senior managers and officers
of corporations, influential leaders and members of
diversity professional organizations, thought leaders who
drive the research and development that create and support
the business case for diversity, and individuals who
champion the cause of diversity in their own space. We are
looking to continue this trend as we compile our 2008 Top
D.E. Diversity
Champions.
For 2008, individuals will be selected based on being
nominated via the D.E. Diversity Champions Nominating Form.
On the nominating form is a space for the nominator to
explain why the nominee is a diversity champion. Just like
the 2007 list, nominees for the D.E. Diversity Champions do
not need to have an official diversity-related position nor
have a diverse background. D.E. Diversity Champions need
only to demonstrate that they champion the cause of
diversity from whatever they are.
We will highlight each of these diversity leaders and the work that they
have contributed to the evolution and growth of diversity in
Corporate America. We will also explore the factors that
have been the keys to their success.
